Sosialisasi Buku Tematik Kelas 4

Assalaamu'alalikum. So, today I had 2 webinars to join: Sosialisasi Buku Tematik Integratif Kelas 4 organized by YPI Al Azhar and the continuation of the PTK webinar series organized by Science Hunter Indonesia and ketikata community. Therefore it felt no different from the normal weekdays. However, I don't regret at all. I don't know how signicifant it was to support my teaching, but for sure I got some new insights.

And in this post, I'm focusing on the Sosiolisasi webinar. It was actually organized to inform all grade 4 teachers in the all-Indonesian Al Azhar schhol community the new Thematic course books. The books, which in the last Academic Year consisted of Themes 1 till 9, integrated all the four subjects-Science, Social Studies, Bahasa Indonesia, Civic Education, are now designed based on the constructing subjects. Therefore, they are now subject-based instead of theme-based. The latest version books consisted of Science Book, Social Studies Book, Bahasa Indonesia Book, Civic Education Book, and Math Book.

Basically, the whole webinar showed all participants a unit model of each book. The book authors explained the model lesson plan, the model activities from aperception until assessment, the media used, the method applied, the adab content, as well as the AKM-based evaluation questions. In between there is an ice-breaking game that I think I can apply in my own class. The games use various platforms: quiziz, wordwall, etc. Even adults like us were very engaged in the game, then I believe students would be a lot more engaged.

All and all, though the content of the books seem to be pretty normal, but the games and ice-breakers are some of the triggers that drive me to apply and create even more and more creatively in the future for my own classroom use. I'm grateful for everything I've got.
